VIOLIN Janeta Mavrova was born into a family of professional musicians – her father is a Professor of Music History, her mother a professional opera singer and Professor of Vocal Performance. Janeta Mavrova began her studies at the age of four with her acceptance to the National School of Music and Arts in Varna, Bulgaria. After graduation, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance from the Bulgarian National Conservatory. Shortly after, Ms. Mavrova studied at the Florida State University with prof. Beth Newdome and prof. Eloit Chapo, earning a Master’s Degree in 2006. A charismatic and devoted teacher with 20 years of experience, Janeta Mavrova has a long list of competition-winning students in the New Orleans area. In addition, many of her pupils have received scholarships from universities in throughout the country. Janeta has been a member of Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra since 2007. She also maintains a violin studio both in the New Orleans area and the North Shore. Ms. Janeta provides online instruction to students in China and throughout Europe.
