The International Music Institute will awaken your unlimited potential and offers high level preparation for College Auditions, Graduate School, Professional Orchestra Audition/Competition Preparation and Physical Conditioning for your instrument.


ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

  • Dates: 2023 Session – July 23 – 30 (session will last until August 1 for those who select additional nights to explore the city of New Orleans.)
  • Save the Date: July 21-28, 2024
  • Location: Solomon Episcopal Conference Center with the option of spending two additional nights exploring the city of New Orleans with departure August 1, 2023.
  • Eligibility: Professional, Pre-Professional level, University level, High School level, Middle School level, Passionate Amateur Musicians of all ages.
  • Instruments/Programs offered: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Percussion, Conducting
  • Institute includes: Private lessons, master classes, technique classes, orchestral excerpts, audition preparation classes, ensembles, baton technique, score analysis and podium time as well as solo and ensemble performances at the end of the session.

TUITION AND FEES

  • Registration Fee: $50
  • All packages cover transportation, tuition, room and board 
  • Tuition for Commuter Fellows (all meals included): $1000
  • Tuition for In-State (Louisiana) On-Campus Fellows: $1200
  • Tuition for Out-of-State On-Campus Fellows: $1500
  • Tuition for Out-of-State Fellows who are interested in spending a couple nights in New Orleans (departing on August 1, 2023): $1750
  • Unless otherwise indicated, all packages cover transportation to and from NOLA airport, tuition, room and board
  • Capacity is limited—transportation, room and board accommodations are on a first come, first served basis.
